Firm to open beef processing facility

AIBP Monaghan, a subsidiary of AIBP, the largest beef processing business in Ireland and Britain announced the commissioning of a major development at its Clones facility.

Following an investment of €10m, the firm is this week opening a beef processing facility which it said would mark an important milestone in the development of the group.

This is the second stage in an overall €20m investment programme at this site.

The technology being adopted is being used in Ireland for the first time.

The plant, which employs 100 people, will employ an additional 120 people.
