THE Irish Stock Exchange yesterday picked up where it left off from Friday’s close by continuing its creeping recovery.

The ISEQ index of Irish shares again finished up yesterday — albeit by just 0.6% to 8154.68 points.

After the share sell-off of recent weeks, on the back of fears about the negative impact of the US subprime/specialist mortgage market on both the American and global economy, world markets also edged higher.
