THE Government has agreed new streamlined structures to improve delivery of local and community development programmes including rural development.

Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs Minister Éamon Ó Cuív said the new structures will provide full coverage of the State over the period of the 2007-2013 National Development Plan.

There will be one local development company in any given area and fewer local development companies overall.
