IRELAND is maintaining a significant advantage in attracting foreign investment because of its low corporate tax rate.

The latest KPMG tax survey shows the Irish rate at 12.5% is still among the lowest in the European Union and this, according to a KPMG tax expert is helping Ireland lead the way in attracting overseas investment.

KPMG’s Cork-based tax partner Michael Lynch said: “This year, we again see how Irish corporate tax rates compare attractively with those in many other jurisdictions.”
