Half of businesses have website

JUST over half of businesses in Ireland have their own website.

This is according to the latest survey from Chambers Ireland which analyses the usage and attitudes of Irish business to telecommunications, internet services and ebusiness applications.

The survey also found that broadband — particularly DSL (52%) and wireless (10%) — is used by the majority of businesses with internet access, while just over one in three companies are aware that they are liable for the online activities of their employees.
