Financials drive market gains

The financial stocks yesterday led the fight back against Thursday’s losses.

The Irish market like most other European bourses made significant ground, adding 96.36 to 9,451.16.

AIB and Bank of Ireland added 29c and 27c to €20.84 and €15.26. Anglo-Irish tacked on 16c to €14.99, while Irish Life and Permanent also rose 6c to €18.81.
