Market rises in line with peers

THE ISEQ index mirrored the positive movement on other European bourses greeting the closing bell up 35.2 at 9,366.76.

The financial sector performed strongly with the four principal banks in positive territory. AIB and Bank of Ireland were up 17c and 7c to €20.49 and €15.17. Irish Life and Permanent added 28c to €18.80, while Anglo-Irish tacked on 2c to €15. Ryanair was up 10c to €5.09. C&C moved on 21c to €10.11.
