Glanbia hikes price to milk suppliers

GLANBIA yesterday announced a further increase in the price it pays its suppliers for milk following a review of recent movements in international dairy markets.

The decision by the Glanbia plc board to pay an additional 14.04% per gallon (VAT inclusive) for June and July manufacturing milk was taken against continuing buoyancy in these markets.

Michael Walsh, chairman, said dairy markets have continued to strengthen which is a welcome development.
