Market slowed down by financials

THE market was slightly lower yesterday as the financial sector weighed heavily.

The ISEQ index was down 16.21 overall to 9,643.41.

AIB and Bank of Ireland were both in the red, losing 7c and 15c to €21.52 and €16. Anglo-Irish followed the negative trend with a 3c slip to €16.22. Irish life and Permanent gained 6c to €19.15.
