The financial stocks were 160 points better off. AIB added 23c to €21.27. Bank of Ireland gained 30c to €15.60. Irish Life and Permanent was 30c stronger at €19.15. Anglo Irish was 3c weaker at €16.32.
In construction, CRH was 36c better off at €35.94. Kingspan dropped 76c to €20.13.
