Market pushes towards 10,000

THE ISEQ Index mirrored European bourses yesterday to close in positive territory.

The Irish exchange gained 119.87 and closed at 9,956.21.

AIB was 10c stronger at €22.66. Bank of Ireland gained 30c to €16.85. Anglo-Irish soared 55c to €17.25 with over 7.3 million shares changing hands. Irish Life & Permanent jumped 89c ahead to €20.60.
