THE ISEQ Index closed in negative territory mirroring losses in other European bourses.

Market continues downward trend

The Irish exchange ended 66.93 lower at 9,511.97.

The financials were 171 points behind with Anglo as the main negative player closing down 63c to €16.25. Its results were ahead of expectations with a 45% rise in EPS to €60.6c. AIB dipped 1c to €22.25. Bank of Ireland slipped 4c to €15.95. Irish Life and Permanent was 14c worse off at €19.30. CRH fell 44c to €33.90. Kingspan fell 26c to €20.30. McInerney fell 17c to €14.23. Grafton Group added 2c to €11.28.
