WITH so much going on in the political arena it would be easy to forget that we still have an economy to be monitored.

Irish property market begins to self-correct

Goodbody Stockbrokers obliged earlier this week with a warning that housing activity has slowed faster than expected. House prices, however, will not collapse.

Sceptics still argue the dangers of a collapse cannot be ignored and one assessment of the market noted that prices in Finland and elsewhere fell 50% when markets slowed dramatically.
