Financials drag down market

THE ISEQ Index fell yesterday mainly due to declines in the financials. The exchange closed 128.10 lighter at 9,573.39.

Financials drag down market

AIB slipped 8c to €22.80 while Bank of Ireland recorded a modest 5c loss to close out at €16.38. Anglo Irish shed 27c to €16.38 while Irish Life & Permanent slipped €1.86 to €18.87.

In construction, CRH continued to lose ground, down 46c to €31.83. Kingspan fell 45c to €20.20 while Grafton also weakened, down 35c to €11.17.
