Supply of cattle has loosened up
The factory quotes for the week are largely unchanged. However, the indications are that the supply of cattle has loosened up a little and the vibes from the processors are suggesting they are less willing to pay much over the quoted prices for cattle, claiming that the trade is being undermined by low volume demand on export markets.
Bord Bia report promotions across the multiples in Britain has lifted overall demand, but the processors are stressing that the volumes of beef moving on export markets overall — Britain and the continent — is not hectic.
