GERMANY’S benchmark stock index advanced for the first time in six sessions, paced by Volkswagen.

Europe’s largest carmaker confirmed its unprofitable Seat unit will return to profit next year.

The DAX Index rose 60.43, or 0.9%, to 6,595. The HDAX Index of the country’s 110 biggest firms climbed 1%.
