Service sector confidence grows again

CONFIDENCE among Irish service sector companies grew in February to a four-month high, according to the latest monthly NCB Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) which was published yesterday.

More than 55% of respondents to the monthly survey said that they were optimistic regarding company expansion and new business gains over the next 12 months.

The latest PMI for the sector showed that business activity improved for the third month in a row, in February, and was the sharpest rise since last September.
