Catex to generate sales of €30m

SALES worth €30 million are expected to be generated at Catex 2007, Ireland’s largest and longest-established catering and hospitality exhibition, which runs until tomorrow at the RDS.

Some 10,000 visitors will be met by 200 exhibitors over the course of the show, where the latest catering equipment, food products, technology, and management systems will be on display, along with the skills of over 600 catering personnel, who will participate in the Chef Ireland specialist culinary competitions.

2006 was a landmark year for tourism. Almost 7.5 million visitors are estimated to have spent €4.6bn over the year.
