Market slips back after gains

The Irish market lost ground yesterday following the previous day’s record high. The Dublin exchange dropped 21.74 to 9,911.51.

Market slips back after gains

AIB added 10c to €23.75. Bank of Ireland dropped 7c to €18.31. Anglo Irish was 15c behind at €16.40 while Irish Life and Permanent surged 30c to €22.65.

The construction sector closed in negative territory overall. CRH fell 35c to €33.10. Grafton dipped 15c to €12.73. Kingspan was 33c lower at €20.40. McInerney bucked the trend gaining 7c to €16.45.
