Market fights back in style

THE ISEQ index soared yesterday as the financial and construction sectors led the fightback against the previous three days of negative movements.

The Dublin bourse mirrored most European markets by gaining 124.84 to close at 9,435.49.

AIB added 1.16% or 26c to finish at €22.64. Bank of Ireland, Anglo-Irish and Irish Life and Permanent also posted gains of 50c, 29c and 8c to greet the closing bell at €18, €16.09 and €21.18.
