Market continues forward march

THE Dublin market continued to edge ever higher yesterday despite a lack of relevant market newsflow. The ISEQ index rose 54.03 to end the first session of the week at 9,391.55.

AIB and Bank of Ireland added 40c and 15c to close at €22.65 and €17.40. Anglo-Irish tacked on a further 10c to €15.90 while Irish Life and Permanent bucked the trend shedding 18c to €21.02.

In the construction sector, CRH added 13c to €30.60 while Kingspan was up 2c to €19.99. Grafton gained 4c to €12.24.
