Analysts raise ICON outlook for 2006

ANALYSTS’ estimates for clinical research firm ICON raised its 2006 net revenue outlook, citing a strong backlog and continuing new business awards.

For 2006, ICON said it expects earnings of $1.28 to $1.30 per share, including stock option expenses, on revenue of $448 million (€340m) to $452m.

The Ireland-based outsourced clinical research company also gave its forecast for 2007, saying it expects earnings of $1.63 to $1.71 a share, including stock compensation.
