Market bounces back after dip

THE ISEQ index returned to the black yesterday following its recent slump mirroring trends across Europe and the US. The Dublin exchange surged 66.12 to 8,691.93.

Market bounces back after dip

In the financial sector AIB jumped 42c to €21.12 on the day. Bank of Ireland added 11c to €16.16, Anglo Irish climbed 13c to €14.37 with Irish Life & Permanent nudging up by 5c to €19.10.

In construction, heavyweight CRH gained 25c to €28.15 with 1.18 million shares traded. Grafton Group was up 8c at €11.03 while Kingspan was also 8c ahead at €16.80.
