THE financial sector dragged the whole market down yesterday.

The ISEQ index hemorrhaged 68.52 points to 8,625.81.

AIB and Bank of Ireland lost 11c and 15c respectively, while Anglo-Irish shed 11 to €14.24. Irish Life and Permanent was the only bright spot, adding 5c to €19.05.
