Market gets back in black

THE ISEQ Index returned to the black yesterday, jumping 77.29 points to 8,724.58.

Bank of Ireland shares soared 23c to €16 ahead of its interim results to be announced today.

Meanwhile, AIB nudged upwards 4c to €21.49, Anglo-Irish climbed 10c to €14.30 and Irish Life & Permanent rose 7c to €19.27.
