Mobile phone firms agree roaming deal

A new national roaming agreement has been announced between mobile phone operators Meteor and Vodafone in Ireland which allows Meteor customers to switch to roaming on the Vodafone network when Meteor coverage is lost.

This service will be provided at no additional cost to the customer.

Vodafone will supply 2G and 2.5G roaming services to Meteor in rural parts of Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Clare, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.
