WOMEN working in finance in Ireland earn an average of nearly €20,000 less than their male counterparts.

This is according to research from Robert Half Finance and Accounting which reveals that the average salary for men in finance is €62,320 compared to €42,690 for women.

Women are also loosing out when it comes to bonuses, according to the research. The average bonus potential for male financial professionals is €13,570, while for females, the figure slides to €6,550 an decrease of over €7,000.
