THE ISEQ Index advanced yesterday after a sluggish start.

Market shrugs off slow start

The Dublin exchange climbed 28.02 to 8,223.84.

In the financial sector AIB climbed 8c to €21. Bank of Ireland nudged up 3c to €15.42 despite the IBOA’s decision to ballot for industrial action over new pension arrangements for new employees. Anglo-Irish added 5c to €12.95 while Irish Life & Permanent bucked the trend falling 8c to €19.76.
