Slight rise for market as a whole

THE ISEQ Index closed slightly higher yesterday as Aer Lingus commenced conditional trading. The Dublin Bourse added 1.64 points to 8,172.50.

Slight rise for market as a whole

In the banking sector, AIB gained 5c to €20.92 while Bank of Ireland climbed 8c to €15.42. Anglo Irish fell 4c to €12.80, while Irish Life & Permanent rose 29c to €19.55.

In construction, CRH fell 30c to €26.55. McInernery fell 14c to €12.94 despite solid results.
