London City Airport sale hits new snag

THE proposed sale of London City Airport by its owner — the Irish financier Dermot Desmond — could have hit a stumbling block.

A number of international players have been circling the airport in recent months, pushing its potential value to nearly €900 million. However London Mayor Ken Livingstone has said the airport redevelopment plan “could prompt reconsideration of the future of London City Airport”.
