Market slips back slightly

The ISEQ index lost some of the ground gained on the previous two days yesterday, falling 18.69 points to 7779.46.

Market slips back slightly

The financial sector overall was down with both AIB and Bank of Ireland amongst the market lagging movers. AIB shed 15c to close at €20.15 while BoI decreased 3c to €14.87. However, Irish Life & Permanent added 15c at €18.95 and Anglo-Irish rose 10c to €12.15.

Construction giant CRH dropped 30c to finish at €25.50, as the market continues to assimilate information on the company's recent US acquisition. Grafton Group lost 7c to €10.30 and Kingspan weakened 11c to €13.95.
