Factory gate prices drop 0.9%

FACTORY gate prices slipped 0.9% in May from the previous month with the annual rate of growth at 0.6%, the Central Statistics Office said yesterday.

That followed a 0.2% decline in April when prices were 1.7% higher year-on-year.

In May 2005, manufacturing prices showed a month-on-month increase of 0.2%, but were down 2.2% on the year.
