Irish shares continued to recover after recent slumps caused by worldwide inflationary concerns.

The ISEQ Index soared 297.26 points to 7310.53. AIB and Bank of Ireland climbed 90c and 69c. Anglo-Irish rose 53c to €11.27. Irish Life & Permanent climbed 70c to €17.95.

In construction, CRH gained € 1.20 to finish at €24.50. Kingspan added 37c to €12.81 following a positive AGM statement from its peer group Severfield-Rowen. Grafton Group also climbed 40c to €9.75 while McInerney added 3c to €11.15.
