THE ISEQ index rebounded yesterday as fears of a 0.5% rate increase went misplaced.

However, economists have moved their 12-month share price forecast from 3.25% to 3.5%. The ISEQ closed up 116.39 points to 7305.81.

AIB jumped 69c to €18.20. Anglo Irish Bank was 30c stronger at €11.40, Irish Life and Permanent rose 65c to €18.05, and Bank of Ireland dropped 12c to €13.58.
