Fine Gael plea on behalf of farmers

GREATER flexibility in the working hours of the Department of Agriculture and Food has been sought by Fine Gael to facilitate the growing number of part-time farmers.

Denis Naughten, TD, said the Department’s offices should open longer, which suits farmers better.

There should be late opening at least one evening a week, as well as Saturday morning and lunch hour opening.
