THE Dundalk location of Heinz food company is said to remain unaffected by the company’s plans to cut 8% of its workforce across the world after it announced lower profits.

As part of a cost-cutting plan, the company will axe 2,700 jobs and sell 15 plants next year. Another five plants will be closed the following year.
