IL&P reveals booming start to 2006

IRISH LIFE & Permanent (IL&P) has told shareholders that the financial year has got off to a “really good start”.

At its annual general meeting yesterday, chairman Gillian Bowler said all parts of the business had seen good growth so far this year.

“While, we’ll be issuing our pre-close trading statement to the stock exchange in a few weeks, I can say for now that we’ve had a really good start to the year and the renewed momentum that we saw across our businesses, in the second half of 2005, has continued strongly into this year,” Ms Bowler said.
