Start-up firms to get €175m funding

VENTURE capital funding of €175 million will be made available to Irish start-up companies, Enterprise, Trade and Employment Minister Micheál Martin has confirmed.

Mr Martin said the lack of early stage finance is a key gap in the market for innovative start-up firms and the Government’s investment of €175m will be a vital contributor to the development of more venture capital industry in Ireland.
