DAIRYGOLD shareholders yesterday approved a proposal at a special general meeting in Mallow to further restructure its business.

Almost 1,100 shareholders voted in a secret ballot. There were 965 votes in favour of the proposal and 129 against.

The approval of the proposal paves the way for the restructuring of the business and the spin out of shares in a new unlisted plc company to existing co-op members.
