Banking shares drag down market

Shares finished the day in negative territory on the back of the banking stocks.

The ISEQ slipped 71.60 points to 7,887.26 at the closing bell.

AIB shed 28c closing down at €18.45. Bank of Ireland dropped 20c to €14.40. Anglo Irish and Irish Life and Permanent fell 29c and 25c to €13.18 and €20.50.
