Single payment applications online

FARMERS will have the opportunity of applying for the single payment scheme online in 2007, Agriculture and Food Minister Mary Coughlan announced yesterday.

She said the new facility will be of particular benefit to farmers who rent or lease some or all of the land they farm.

It will allow them to quickly check land availability for single payment purposes, minimising errors in their applications.
