Market weaker despite Ryanair plus

THE ISEQ Index closed down slightly despite a strong performance from Ryanair. The Dublin market fell 7.19 points to 7893.28.

Market weaker despite Ryanair plus

The financial sector slipped back as AIB lost ground falling 10c to €18.75 and Bank of Ireland dropped 18c to €14.67. Irish Life & Permanent fell 5c to €20.30 leaving only Anglo Irish to buck the sector trend, closing up 9c to €13.32.

Construction giant CRH, closed 9c weaker at €28.63 after Wednesday’s AGM statement that trading had been favourable in the year to-date.
