IRELAND is not one of 10 European Union member states who will have to hand back a total of €128.2 million of unduly spent farm money to Brussels.

EU to recover agriculture funding

The European Commission said the money will be recovered due to inadequate controls or non-compliance with EU agricultural expenditure rules. Belgium, Germany, Spain, Finland, France, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden and Britain will return funds.
