UP to 45,000 passengers are expected to travel through Cork Airport during the May bank holiday weekend.

This represents an increase of 22% on the same weekend last year.

These statistics follow similar increases over the recent Easter bank holiday weekend, when over 40,000 passengers travelled through the airport.
