CRH and bank stocks fuel rise

SHARES in Dublin strengthened for the third consecutive day with CRH and banking stocks the main catalyst. The ISEQ added 16.99 points to 6694.27.

CRH and bank stocks fuel rise

The financial sector finished up 38.61 points. AIB and Bank of Ireland were up 2c and 13c respectively. Anglo Irish dipped 1c with Irish Life and Permanent down 2c.

A similar story in construction left CRH 43c ahead at €22.45, while Grafton and Kingspan advanced 15c and 31c respectively. McInerney nudged ahead 5c to €8.35.
