Market mirrors foreign gains

SHARES in Dublin ended the day in positive territory for the third consecutive day mirroring gains in both British and European bourses.

The ISEQ added 10.73 points to 6549.06 at the closing bell.

A mixed day in the banking stocks but the sector rose 15.57 points overall. AIB strengthened 17c to €17.12 while Bank of Ireland shed 9c to €12.81. In the second line, Anglo Irish fell 3c to €11.07 while Irish Life and Permanent added 5c to €14.35.
