Portuguese firm bids for M50 tolls

BRISA, Portugal’s toll-road operator, is teaming up with US consultancy Accenture to bid in a 50-50 venture to supply and run electronic toll-collection systems for an Irish highway.

The pre-qualification bid is for tolls on Dublin’s 40km M50 ring road with daily traffic of about 100,000 vehicles. Details of the tender were not disclosed.
