VHI pays out over €750m in benefits

VHI Healthcare announced yesterday it has paid out over €750m in benefits to hospitals and doctors on behalf of its members in the year ended February 2005.

This figure is expected to rise by €130m in 2005 to €880m.

Furthermore VHI Healthcare estimates that by the year-end 2007 its claims payout will exceed €1 billion.
