CIF call coincides with common good

In Galway, this weekend, the Construction Industry Federation, the indigenous sector that has creamed it off over the boom period more than most, is still whingeing.

They are unhappy the Government is failing to spend all of the money pledged for capital spending in recent budgets. Its target is 5% of GDP, but it was below that last year and is down by a few points also for this year. CIF blames failure to provide a streamlined planning process and an inability to provide adequately serviced land for much of the malaise.
