Clare firm wins Siemens contract

Data Display, based at Deerpark Industrial Estate, Ennistymon, Co Clare, is to work on a $110m contract with electronics giant Siemens for the supply of a new public address and information system for New York’s subway.

The three-year contract consists of designing, furnishing and installing a public address system and customer information screens at 156 stations, as well as CCTV.

Data Display has also developed an interface that will link the screens to the New York Transit Authority’s Control Centre.
